Three In A Row

BACK in November I told how I was hoping for a hat-trick of enjoyable reading from the books of sometime Times reporter Peter Fleming, elder brother of James Bond author Ian.
News From Tartary and Brazilian Adventure were indeed great reads, and I have now finished One's Company.
This is Peter Fleming's account of his journey through Russia and China in 1933 to report on the latter's civil war between Nationalists and Communists, at a time when both sides were also fighting invading Japanese
The book is good, if not, in my view, up to the standard of the others, and I count it as one of my better recent purchases.
