Mid-18th Century Update - Russia
RUSSIANS are the latest addition to my mid-18th century forces, and were really a way of using up spare figures I had left over from painting other armies.
Russia was not involved in fighting in the main central European theatre of the War of the Austrian Succession, but had a major role in the follow-up Seven Years War.
Front row (left to right) are Preobrazhenskiy Life Guard, two 8pdr guns and pandours. Behind them are Novgorodskiy dragoons, Vladimirskiy dragoons, Life Guard cuirassiers and Serbskiy hussars.
