To win, the human has to be occupying Vimeiro - the village by the hill on the left of the map - at the end of turn 10.
When I first played this scenario, the battle came down to an exciting turn 10 in which Junot, no less, occupied Vimeiro in my half-turn, only to be killed by Allied infantry in their half-turn, thus snatching victory from my grasp.
As I wrote at the time (November 2023): "I have become used to exciting finishes to my battles from Mike Lambo's books, with the result hanging in the balance to the very end.
"But I do not see how any refight could have kept the tension any longer than this one."
[Oh dear - too late to change anything now, but as you can see there are only three French infantry units in the second photo, and that is how I played the battle.]
