The situation in 200 BC |
Andy conquers Gallia, IBERIA and Numidia (just - the roll was 2, so Scipio's great-captain modifier of +2 was fully needed), but fails in an attack on AFRICA as this time 2 is not enough, since even great captains suffer a -1 modifier when attacking a homeland. Andy attacks AFRICA a second time, and it falls on a throw of 3. eliminating Richard's Carthaginians.
The Macedonians attack Syria, which at last falls (5 is thrown).
Richard tries to free his homeland, but fails to roll the necessary 6.
I attack Syria, but roll 2.
Rome has conquered the west Mediterranean and will inevitably be looking east |
